I own 1200 thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets and these sheets don't even come close in terms of weight/thickness; these are incredibly thin and light. They are also incredibly soft and silky at the same time. The texture is nothing like I've ever felt before..the best way I can describe it is a cross between jersey cotton in terms of softness, satin, and heavy weight cotton (like 1200 thread-count sheets) in terms of silkiness. In a word - WONDERFUL! Not hot, but perfectly warm and toasty. I used to think I needed heavy-weight cotton sheet for warmth in a Chicago winter - WRONG. These are perfect! I don't know how I will ever go back to pure cotton...and having experienced these sheets, honestly, I don't want to! Tips: follow the washing instruction (i.e. fabric softener not needed).
