Hip pain gone, great improvements..love this pillow!, August 30, 2011 By This review is from: Leachco Back 'N Belly Chic Pillow with Easy On- Off Zippered Cover - Taupe Rings I was going to purchase the origional back n belly pillow untill i called leachco about the chic version. After speaking to the rep about the improvments i decided to pay the extra amount of money and give this a try. Im glad i did.
Reviews of the origional back n belly state that the seam in the neck area cuts into their neck and or shoulders.. Well, not with this one! Leachco took care of that issue.. A company that listens to their reviews!! The seam is gone and in its place is an additional strip of fabric which takes away from the tight and uncomfortable seam in the origional pillow.
I cant describe it well but if you check out the todays mom pillow there is a photo of their neck curve section and this pillow is exactly like that at the neck now. It does not dig in to my neck at all.
This pillow also now has a zippered cover for easy removal. The fabric isnt itchy but it does make noise when you move on the pillow. Its not quiet like jersey knit and it is slightly... Read more

My problem is that I can't get comfortable. If I sleep on top of the pillow my back muscles feel stressed and I am sore the next morning. When I sleep inside the pillow with the ends at my head I can't turn over, and getting out of bed in the middle of the night is a challenge. When I use the pillow with the U at my head I can turn over better and leave the bed with more ease but the ends float all over the bed and my poor husband loses space and I end up with a sore neck the following morning.
The reviewer spoke about being able to sleep on her back, but that just doesn't work for me at all. I'm sure that this is subjective, and that we pregnant women are all different.
The thing that I do love is that I can stretch a little by laying on my belly for just a bit.
I'm only 14 weeks into my pregnancy. I may change my mind considerably in the coming weeks. If... Read more

I am happy with it. I'm currently at 18 weeks pregnant and have been using it for several weeks to prop up my upper leg as I sleep on my side. It is great not to have to flip it over as you turn from side to side, as with a "one-legged" pillow. The cushioning and fabric are both very comfortable, and I love that the cover is removable and machine-washable. As another reviewer noted, the "Chic" model is an improvement on earlier models that apparently had a seam that chafed your shoulders; this model doesn't do that. But it does have a couple of downsides. First, the padding at the top of the U, where your head rests, was too thick for me - my head felt uncomfortably elevated and it made my neck sore. I solved this problem by making a slit in the cushion, pulling out some of the padding (it was easy), and then sewing it back up, but the padding does tend to creep back to that spot from the...
