The fabric is crisp but soft to the touch, and the color is even better than expected. Really a bright light blue mottle with a solid blue on the other side. Very pleased with quality.

I love the feeling and I am so happy I bought it. My only feedback would be to match the coral Horizon sheets. If you like everything to match, as I did, you may also purchase the matching sheets. The sheets are a shade lighter. I don't think it is a big deal, but I like the duvet coloring better!

I washed and dried the cover and shams before I used them with no issues.
