Thick and oversized comforter, January 7, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: City Scene, Branches Collection Black , Comforter Set, Full/Queen (Kitchen) We received this comforter for christmas 2011. The thing I love most about it is that it's super thick, and oversized. I don't have to worry about fighting over the covers with my boyfriend. We live in Wisconsin, so it is very nice with the cold winter so far. The one complaint I do have, it didnt hold up as well as I hoped with the washing machine. I did use a front loading machine. It's nothing too noticeable, and I can live with it, it's just that the fill bunched up in a few places (hence the 4 stars). All in all, worth the $60 I paid. Oh, side note - most all new fabric purchased needs to be washed before using (clothing, sheets, comforters, etc.) to know what the fabric will truly be like. All these bad reviews about the "scratchiness" of the fabric... One good wash and it was fine as I predicted... Almost didn't buy this due to those reviews.

Itchy and seems come apart, July 25, 2010 By This review is from: City Scene Branches Comforter Set (Kitchen) When we took it out, it looked great on the bed. After my daughter slept with it she complained of it itching and also the comforter was poorly put together it came apart at the seems. Love the look just not the actual product.

Not what I expected, January 12, 2011 By This review is from: City Scene, Branches Collection Black , Comforter Set, Full/Queen (Kitchen) I dont normally order bedding online and this is why I wont ever again. The comforter would be nice if it was maybe used for a guest bed that is not used regularly. It is VERY heavy and hot and not soft at all. The material is very scratchy and you can see every piece of hair or lint that is on it..... Plus the color is a faded black so I can imagine after a wash or too that it is going to get worse. I was not able to return it due to the time frame and now its sitting in the closet not being used. We will probably end up giving to good will. Waste of money :(
